INDICATIONS
This medication is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It can be used as monotherapy where B-blockers are ineffective or contraindicated.
PREGNANCY
Insufficient evidence regarding its safe usage in pregnancy.
LACTATION
this medicine is contraindicated in nursing females. Consult your doctor before.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
This medication should not be used in neonates and infants that are under 2 years of age. Or if there is hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of the medication or to any of its excipients.
PRECAUTIONS
Caution must be observed in the following cases: Severe heart diseases, depression, cerebral (brain) or coronary insufficiency (reduced blood flow to the heart). Raynaud’s phenomenon (skin discoloration in extremeties due to sudden decrease in blood supply), orthostatic hypotension (drop in blood pressure upon standing), thromboangitis obliterans (recurring inflamation of small and medium blood vessels of hands and feet), kidney or liver impairement. Remove contact lenses before using this medication, wait for a minimum of 15 minutes before wearing them again
SIDE EFFECTS
Individuals using this medication may experience oral dryness, and redness, burning, itchiness and stinging of the eyes. Other side effects include conjunctival follicles (collection of lymphocytes in the eye), allergy, headache, dizziness, and fatigue.
